Small Danish square teak dining table with extensions, 1960s

This small Danish square teak dining table from the 1960s is a beautifully crafted example of Scandinavian mid-century design, where functionality meets refined craftsmanship. The overall size of the table is H: 73 / W: 90 / D: 90 cm (154cm when fully extended). The table features two extension leaves, cleverly stored beneath the main top and smoothly sliding out from both sides. When extended, it transforms from a compact square form into a larger rectangular dining table, ideal for both smaller interiors and bigger Scandinavian-inspired spaces. The table is crafted in teak wood, with a beautiful rich grain and a warm tone. A distinctive feature is the thick, softly rounded solid teak edge that runs around all tabletops. An especially rare detail is the overlapping of the tabletops. This solution demonstrates the cleverness of Danish carpenters of the period. We leave some minor signs of use that do not spoil the esthetics but only confirm the furniture age.
