Oil on panel signed E. Faut at the bottom right, corresponding to the Belgian painter Ernest Faut (1879-1961). A countryside landscape featuring haystacks and thatched buildings, treated in a soft and luminous palette. Very nice work of texture and thick brushstrokes giving a lot of relief to the vegetation and thatch. A piece from the early 20th century, presented in its original wide-moulded wooden frame. Dimensions of the artwork: 24 × 17 cm. Total dimensions: 36 × 28 cm. A small Belgian painting of character, ideal for an antique, bohemian, or collector's interior.
