Dogon scale

Dogon ladder carved from a single piece of wood by hand. Originally from northern côte d'ivoire, it provided access to the granaries of dogon millet. It has a very beautiful matte patina. The "v" shape represents open arms praying to the sky to call for rain and guarantee a bountiful harvest in the village.
