Pair of Penguin armchairs by Theo Ruth for Artifort

The Penguin armchair by Theo Ruth for the Dutch manufacturer Artifort is one of the icons of Dutch design from 1957. Composed of two separable parts, the backrest and seat can be assembled at the desired comfort angle. Characterized by its curved legs, the Penguin also offers additional comfort to its Congo sister thanks to its pleasant armrests. These pieces have been re-covered in a yellow and white wool fabric. Reupholstered. Wear consistent with age and use.
