Old secretary desk with wooden stool.

Antique secretary desk and its matching stool, probably dating from the late 19th or early 20th century, enhanced by an elegant carved pediment at the top and turned fluted legs. Made from solid wood with warm tones—likely walnut or cherry given its flame-veined appearance and the scratched drawer fronts—it features a workspace lined with burgundy leather framed by a discreet golden trim, as well as six storage drawers. This characterful set will find its natural place in an office, bedroom, or living room, infusing a refined atmosphere with classical inspiration. Condition: The furniture is sound, stable, and perfectly functional, with all drawers sliding easily and the stool providing a sturdy seat. The wood shows an authentic patina of time, including slight variations in color, a few superficial micro-scratches from use, and discreet signs of age on the surfaces. These marks of life testify to its history without detracting from its overall aesthetic or solidity.
