This beautiful antique decanter is made of crystal decorated with guilloche friezes. The pantogravure decoration is elegant: a guilloché ornament of delicate scrolls. The cap is blown with a bubble and decorated with the same decoration. This guilloche technique is widespread in the 19th century and at the very beginning of the 20th century: the crystal was coated with a wax and the decoration is drawn with a needle in pantogravure in wax, then the object is immersed in an acid bath that attacks the crystal bare. In good condition, it measures 33 cm in height X 12 cm in diameter. I report a slight deposit and scratches of use.
