Art Deco mirror

Elegant oval mirror in Art Deco style. Its wooden frame is adorned with a sculpted and gilded stucco decoration: a stylised frieze of roses and foliage with geometric lines typical of the 1920s-30s. The golden patina, enhanced with dark brown in the recesses, highlights the relief. The glass is original and bevelled. It shows slight pitting that gives it the charm of the old. Two brass rings on the sides allow it to be hung with a cord. On the back, the plywood backing panel retains its stencilled number, the manufacturer's stamp, and workshop inscriptions in pencil.
