Round Mirror with Ribbon Crest and Lady's Portrait in Gilded Metal

Period: c. Mid 20th century. This round mirror features a crest with a medallion depicting a lady in profile, surrounded by ribbons. The upper sides and the bottom of the mirror have scrolling branches that extend across the surface; these have been executed in a style reminiscent of Art Nouveau. The fine band framing the mirror is made of brass, while the ornaments are in gilded metal. The style of the mirror has a late 19th-century appearance, but I believe it is a more modern production. Condition: good. The glass is perfect. Dimensions: 42 cm high with crest, 29.5 cm wide, 2 cm deep, 1.3 kg.
