The Dodo armchair, designed by Toshiyuki Kita for Cassina in 2000, is a versatile reading chair that transforms into a chaise longue, catering to various contemporary needs, such as home offices and home theaters. The swivel seat on a fixed base offers multiple reclining positions, extending almost completely to serve as a bed. These positions are adjustable via a side handle and a lever that activates a gas spring. The original heathered wool upholstery is in very good condition, with some minor wear on the armrests and the front of the seat. The padding and the satin-finished tubular steel frame are in excellent condition. The mechanisms function perfectly. Dimensions: Height 106 cm with headrest – Width 78 cm – Depth 90 cm / 182 cm (reclined) A second armchair in orange is also available for sale (see separate listing).
