Pair of 1950s Italian Modernist Lounge Chairs

Pair of modernist lounge chairs, Italy, 1950s. Though the designer remains unidentified, the chairs show the softer and more sculptural side of Italian post-war design, with gently curved lines and a low, generous form. The chairs have black lacquered frames with subtle brass details on the feet, and are newly upholstered in luxurious moss green velvet. The frames show a beautiful patina, with the wood in lovely condition and only light, carefully integrated restorations. In very good condition, a well-preserved example of Italian mid-century seating.
