Mid-century modern Pulkka lounge chair by Ilmari Lappalainen for Asko, 1960s.

Vintage design. Lounge chair by the Finnish manufacturer Asko, based on a 1960s design by Ilmari Lappalainen. Reupholstered. A simple and functional design made up of two parts: the frame and the seat or reclining surface. The ergonomic seat is simply inserted into the frame, with an angle that can be easily adjusted manually to a reclined position. The Pulkka frame is finished in natural wood, with a special orange finish on the back frame. The upholstery fabric is a sturdy, canvas-like material in a matching orange shade. The neck pillow, foam, and straps have been replaced according to original specifications. The chair is in very good condition with signs of wear and patina. Upholstery fabric and cushions professionally restored.
