Mid-century modern coffee table by Ilmari Lappalainen for Asko, 1960s

Vintage coffee table designed by the Finnish manufacturer Asko, created by Ilmari Lappalainen in the 1960s. A simple and functional design with a distinctive base. The striking star base is made up of four elegantly curved elements in bent wood. The round top is birch veneer and framed by a solid wood edge. The table is in very good condition with signs of wear and patina.
