Quartet of plates attributed to Pascual Zorrilla for Emma – Spain

Set attributed to Pascual Zorrilla for Emma: a superb set of four decorative glazed earthenware plates, stamped Emma – Made in Spain and painted by the artist Pascual Zorrilla. Each piece features a unique cobalt blue shaded decoration, combining floral motifs and stylized coats of arms, in a Hispano-Moresque and graphic style. These plates feature beautiful hand-painted work, with a grid pattern in the background typical of Zorrilla's decorative style. Pierced for wall hanging, they form a harmonious quartet composition, but can also be displayed separately. Stamped Emma – Made in Spain. Diameter 16 cm, height 1.5 cm (slight pedestal). Beautiful vintage condition, with a beautiful enamel patina; one plate has a slight chip on the edge (see photos). A unique and decorative quartet, perfect for a wall display in a chic and arty Mediterranean style.
