Oak office counter

Old counter or desk in carved oak decorated with angels and pilasters. This is a louis XIII wedding chest that was transformed in the 1950s. It is difficult to date but according to the former owner, it is an authentic louis XIII chest of the seventeenth century that his father cabinetmaker cleaned, restored and transformed. Despite the cleaned wood, the decorated façade and the paneled sides seem indeed very old in view of the manufacture, the patina and the antiquity of the wood (even more visible in reality than in the photos). It is in good general condition. The door and the two top drawers are locked. Two keys present. Also note traces of wood pulp on the tray (visible in the photos). 78cm high. 143cm X 65cm for the tray. 153cm X 66 at the level of the low molding.
