At the centre, an architectural niche houses a round-boss sculpted figure, representing a draped character, treated with a beautiful sense of detail and movement, resting on a pedestal embellished with scrollwork. The whole is framed by massive twisted columns, typical of Renaissance-inspired furniture, giving the piece a monumental and solemn presence. The moulded upper top and the base highlighted by sculpted friezes harmoniously complete the composition. The wood displays a beautiful old patina, warm and deep, enhancing the relief of the sculptures.
