Willy Rizzo – Alveo coffee table in black lacquer and steel, 1970s
◼ THE STORY & DESIGN With the Alveo, Willy Rizzo designed a coffee table in the 1970s made for entertaining. Published by Mario Sabot, it conceals a steel compartment in its center designed as a bar, to be filled with bottles, an ice bucket, or simply books and objects. The chrome angles and black lacquer give it a graphic presence at the heart of the living room. ◼ TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS Top and base in black lacquer, chrome metal angles, recessed central compartment in steel. Dimensions: L 130 × D 80 × H 35 cm. ◼ CONDITION REPORT (Transparency Gallery) Very good overall condition, shiny and deep lacquer. Micro-scratches from use on the top, normal for its age. A very slight lack of lacquer, small in size, on the front face, and a small chip at the base of the pedestal, on the floor side. Compartment with micro-scratches and a few light spot marks. Chrome angles in very good condition. It pairs well with a low sofa, a thick rug, and Space Age seating, or adds a seventies touch to a contemporary interior. ◼ LOGISTICS & SHIPPING — custom delivery.
