Antique Empire-style furniture with wide square legs topped with columns, early 19th century. On the top, remarkable marquetry work; diamonds and chevrons in walnut and various fruitwoods. Large opening with 2 wooden doors featuring superb mahogany veneer, pendant-style bronze handles, oak interior, shelf in poplar. 1 large dovetail drawer, interior in poplar. Exceptional sideboard made from the finest woods; walnut, blonde walnut, cherry. Beautiful colour variations due to the different wood species. Period veneer and marquetry: some signs of use consistent with its age: discreet veneer defects on the top and sides, visible old restorations. Very good original condition overall, healthy and solid structure.
