Neoclassical restraint with clean, rectilinear lines and a two-door composition. Materials. Walnut veneer applied over a softwood carcass, set within an ebonized surround. Door interiors veneered with oak; features original box lock and key escutcheons. Storage. Two-door lower cupboard with a central meeting seam. Interior fitted with two softwood shelves, offering practical storage for a variety of household items. Design. Straight, unbroken cornice and a shallow plinth base; minimal applied ornament emphasises the contrast between dark ebonized framing and lighter figured walnut panels. Origin. South Germany, circa 1820, in the Biedermeier tradition.
