Chinese Bureau Chinoiserie 19th Century Napoleonic Leather

We are delighted to offer for sale this exceptionally rare and finely crafted Chinese Chinoiserie kneehole desk, featuring a blue Napoleonic leather top embossed with gold leaf. This piece was exported from China to France, circa 1880-1900. The desk has a painted and lacquered finish throughout, including the interior of the kneehole area, with a high level of detail on the back and sides designed to be admired by guests. The desk has been thoroughly cleaned, waxed, and hand-polished, with some age-related patina marks and wear, but no notable defects affecting its beauty. Dimensions: Height 76 cm, Width 160 cm, Depth 80.5 cm. Height and width of the leg clearance: 60 cm X 77 cm.
