Carved saddle with Indochinese spacer

Bolster in molded and carved ebonized wood, napoleon style. It is decorated with 4 engraved arched legs forming a spacer base. From the beginning of the 20th century, it has already been restored. The top rests on four legs of an animated shape. It is square in shape and bordered by 2 sticks. The whole is sculpted and engraved with chinese and/or japanese openwork motifs which could be reminiscent of the work of gabriel viardot. The small drawer has a broken slide on the front which makes it difficult to fully open but usable. The gallery, also openwork, takes up the far eastern decorative repertoire. Its dimensions are 78 cm for the height, the overall width 42 cm by 42 cm, same dimensions for the top.
