Antique Art Nouveau barbotine jug

Superb collector's jug in majolica earthenware, by the Nimy factory "Anciens Mouzin, Lecat & Cie" (period 1851-1898). In Art Nouveau style, it stands out with its raised floral decoration in vibrant colours: deep blue, olive green, and touches of old rose under a glossy glaze. Remarkable moulding work typical of the late 19th century. The natural crazing of the earthenware highlights its authenticity. Note a small chip at the neck and a hairline crack (visible in photos), minor defects that do not detract from the exceptional character of this slipware.
