Mid-century murano sommerso glass ashtray / small bowl - italy, 1960s. ''sommerso'' is a technique developed in murano in the 1930s which became very popular in the 1950s/60s. The result is a glass with contrasting colours that is commonly cased by a clear layer. Red and clear glass. Height: 7 cm; width: 13 cm; depth: 13 cm. Excellent vintage condition.
