Akuaba fertility doll

Akwaba fertility doll traditionally used to promote fertility among Ashanti women of Ghana. An Ashanti doll is easily recognized by its very minimalist shape: a large circular head with a high forehead with facial features in the lower third, on a small cylindrical body. Its arms develop at a right angle! Pretty contemporary example from the beginning of the 21st century in blackened wood engraved with patterns. A chic and original ethnic touch.
