Mahogany and mahogany veneer display case opening through a dark door two-thirds of the way through a window highlighted by an ornate bronze rod. This door is fitted with a functional original lock with foliage entrance and chiseled bronze key. The lower part of the door is a martin varnish panel depicting a romantic scene with lovers picnicking under a tree. This decor is also surrounded by brass rods forming a frame. The upper rail of this furniture is decorated with molded strips, a large bronze frieze forming volute flowers and leaves with an engraving in the center representing putti playing in the grass. The uprights are garnished with bronze scraps, sculpted with quivers, smiling masks, ribbons, leaves and flowers. The slightly curved feet end in hooves decorated with acanthus leaves. The sides, made in the same spirit as the facade, have the particularity of being concave and painted with landscape scenes. The top is topped with pink pyrenees marble with rounded front corners to match the shape of the piece of furniture. The interior offers three fixed shelves hugging the windows and a green velvet covering on the floor. ******** period: 1900 excellent condition after restoration in our workshop varnished finish.
