Egg cup Robert Picault Vallauris

Charming ceramic egg cup with its integrated saucer with a geometric decoration featuring pretty pastel green and brown colors (drawn with copper oxide for green and iron oxide for brown) on a white background. This decor and these colors are typical of the ceramics of robert picault who, after creating the callis workshop with capron and derval in vallauris in 1946, opened his own workshop in 1948 where he employed up to 25 ceramists. His personal pieces are signed picault in full, here it is therefore an egg cup mass produced in his workshop because it is signed with the initials rp below. We can therefore date it from the 50s or 60s. It is in very good condition, no defects to report, it measures 6 cm in height, 9 cm in diameter at the level of the cup, and 4.5 cm in internal diameter at the level from the top of the egg cup.
