Elegant pair of solid teak armchairs, emblematic of the colonial Art Deco style, probably made in the Dutch East Indies in the 1920s-1930s. These seats are distinguished by a fluid and dynamic structure: the armrests and the base come together in a single rounded movement, giving the whole a silhouette as refined as it is ergonomic. The teak, patinated by time, gives warmth and nobility to these pieces, while the woven rattan seats and backrests ensure comfort and lightness. A remarkable detail: the armrests are enhanced with a bentwood element, bringing an additional touch of comfort and a rare refinement. In good general condition, with slight signs of use consistent with age. The rattan seats were likely carefully restored a few years ago. Dimensions: • Total height: 69 cm • Seat height: 30 cm • Depth: 75 cm • Width: 56 cm A pair of authentic seats, ideal for a refined decoration combining exoticism and modernity.
