Magnificent chest of drawers and its sloping secretary made of solid pine dating from the 19th century. Healthy, stable, and solid furniture. This chest of drawers has been carefully sanded, with a clear protective finish that is stain-resistant. It has a large storage capacity. The drawers slide easily and are fitted with their lovely brass handles featuring "swans and reeds"... the locks on the drawers no longer function. At the top, there is a flap opening onto a nice desk with plenty of storage and a leather writing pad. The leather has been nourished and polished. The whole piece is in good condition. Please note that all these vintage pieces show signs of use and minor defects despite a long and careful renovation. Any major defects are noted in my listings. There is a small missing decorative element in the upper left compartment of the secretary. Additionally, there are two cracks on the large central drawer, but the whole remains very solid!
