Antique Ice Cube or Sugar Tongs with Lion's Paw Finish. Elegant ice cube (or sugar) tongs in gilded metal, most likely gilded silver, the hallmark is on the top of the handle. Embossed decoration on the handle of a medallion with a knot and flowers on the outline. Louis XVI style lion's paw finish. Dimensions: Length: 15 cm Width: 2.5 cm Weight: 32 g Presence of a 5-pointed star hallmark, probably a Spanish hallmark of first-grade solid silver (915 thousandths). It has been in force since 1934. Good condition, no fragility, well-preserved gilding. Traces of oxidation on the inside of the handle and on the corners of the claws. Beautiful visual appearance.
