A pair of goblets on a footed base made of glazed stoneware, from the Hurtault Workshop in Puisaye (Burgundy), in the great tradition of regional workshop stoneware. The silhouette is particularly successful: a slightly conical body, delicately curved, resting on a raw foot made of natural clay. This contrast between the matte base and the glazed upper part creates a subtle balance between material and light. The subtly shaded white glaze, dotted with fine mineral inclusions, presents a beautiful soft shine. It reveals, at the junction with the foot, a slight firing halo with ochre tones — a characteristic detail of pieces crafted with care. The interior shows the turning with fine concentric grooves, a signature of artisanal craftsmanship. Incised stamp under the base: ceramicists based in Burgundy, Nathalie and Christophe Hurtault are part of the great tradition of Puisaye stoneware within the family workshop founded in 1976. Their work combines technical mastery and a sober contemporary style, where the material takes precedence. In excellent vintage condition. Diameter 8 cm at the opening, base diameter 4 cm, height 10 cm. A pair of workshop pieces with silent elegance, ideal for a sophisticated minimalist table, japandi, or contemporary wabi-sabi.
