Rio stoneware cups Atelier Hurtault Puisaye

A trio of glazed stoneware cups from the Hurtault Workshop (Puisaye - Burgundy). Ceramists based in Burgundy, Nathalie and Christophe Hurtault are part of the great tradition of Puisaye stoneware within the family workshop founded in 1976. Their work combines technical mastery with a sober contemporary style, where the material takes precedence. These pieces illustrate a sober and contemporary aesthetic: a softly cylindrical shape, slightly curved, without a handle, designed for easy handling. The nuanced ivory white glaze, punctuated by fine mineral inclusions, reveals the material and the firing process. Inside, a free gesture in reserve exposes the brown clay in an organic arc — a discreet and very poetic visual signature. Each piece presents a subtle variation, characteristic of artisanal work.
