This is quite a piece of history that I am presenting! A beautiful and large coloured school map of Morocco, published by Touté, 1913. Colour lithograph printed. The map measures 122cm by 97cm. It shows some damaged areas. When folded, it is the size of a school notebook. It was created under the direction of Émile Touté, based on the most recent documents from the expeditionary corps, and with the kind assistance of Jacques Ladreit de Lacharrière, a teacher and author of several works on Morocco. The course of rivers, streams, terrain movements, mountain ranges, main peaks, important passes are depicted, as well as the names of major regions, territories of main tribes, cities, villages, markets, communication routes, and paths. A Franco-Arabic lexicon accompanies the map and explains geographical terms specific to Muslim countries. Four watercolours illustrate the map: market in Marrakech, street in Rabat, Moroccan types, and a view of the city of Azemmour and the Oum Errabiâ river. The colours may differ between the screen and reality. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Still in the spirit of preserving our planet, I only post parcels once a week.
