Set of Six Vintage Pillivuyt Coffee Cups and Saucers

This rare coffee set is made in France by Pillivuyt (here spelled "Pilivite"), a brand whose porcelain is considered the best by chefs. The company was founded over 200 years ago, in 1818. The set is in excellent condition; it has no chips, cracks, or defects. It is distinguished by its white colour, enhanced with a decorative green band and a gold leaf rim. Dating from the mid-twentieth century and designed for high-end establishments, this set was produced in limited quantities. It is now extremely rare to find more than one cup with its saucer. This set has been in my family since the 1970s. Please note the mark on the back "Chomette and Sons Ltd" as well as the spelling "Pilivite" (instead of "Pillivuyt"), which attests to the rarity of this set, because the words show that this set made in France for sale to high end restaurants and hotels in London.
