Coffee service in fine white porcelain, 18 pieces: 9 cups and 9 saucers. Porcelaines d’Aquitaine — L. Lourioux, Foëcy (Cher) - Marked “Made in Gaz de Lacq” allowing it to be dated to the 1960s-1970s. Decoration: Gilded frieze with floral and leafy patterns, gold trim, scalloped edge. Diameters: saucer 18 cm / cup: 8.5 cm without the handle, height 5 cm. Louis Lourioux (1874–1930) was a ceramist during the Art Nouveau period, working in Foëcy in the Cher. Appointed Art Ceramist in 1906, he received accolades for his vase “Soir de Fête” at the 1925 International Exhibition of Decorative Arts. The manufacture continued under his name until the 1970s-80s.
