Very rareLounge Chair by Pierre Thielen (attrib.) Netherlands 1960s

Extremely rare lounge designed by Pierre Thielen (attrib.) and sold by Metz & Co. There's one, also rare but more common, lounge chair designed by Pierre Thielen, and we know he designed a few different models. You can see the similarities clearly. We can say with 95% certainty that this particular chair is also designed by him. Unforunately we cannot prove it. Very interesting chair for the collector, maybe even for museums. Not possible to find another one online. The chair has a solid stainless steel structure and a thick natural saddle leather sling-seat. Very elegant and sophisticated chair, beautifully constructed. The chair is in good condition. The leather has a nice patina. One seam of the leather was partly loose and is repaired and on both sides reinforced. The frame has some normal traces of wear.
