Farmhouse table with extensions from the 19th century. It is all in elm, wood that was very appreciated by carpenters for its qualities close to those of oak, dense fine-grained wood with a very beautiful veining. It is no longer used now since a parasite decimated the tree population in the first half of the 20th century. This magnificent table has two large extensions of 90cm which brings its total length from 200cm to 380cm, a large drawer at the end, attached to the central tray, so it is no longer accessible once the extensions are out. We particularly like its turned wooden legs and the carved buttresses under the headband. The extensions are very stable thanks to their arms of 1 m long, they come out easily, the feet have undergone an extension, old modification, which allows to gain ease for the passage of the legs under the headband. It is in good condition, a nice patina of use on the plateau. Note a mark on an extension cord, probably ink, visible in the close-up photo.
