Art Nouveau chandelier in bronze and glass paste

Superb Art Nouveau chandelier, circa 1900, in bronze with floral and vegetal decoration, enhanced by four glass tulips signed Lafite in Reims, in the style of the famous productions of the Muller brothers. This very beautiful light fixture features an elegant bronze mount with an antique patina, composed of three light arms with sinuous lines, characteristic of the Art Nouveau aesthetic. The suspension is supported by three elongated decorative elements, alternating links and floral motifs, gathered under an important ceiling canopy with leaf decoration. The central part, particularly elaborated, showcases a set of volutes and vegetal ornaments in bronze, surrounding a fourth decorative tulip. The four glass tulips offer a remarkable harmony of colors, with a luminous yellow background shaded with green and finished with a deep blue. Their decoration evokes a stylized vegetal landscape, in the spirit of the glass creations of the École de Nancy. The four tulips bear the signature Lafite in Reims. The whole forms a particularly elegant composition, combining the finesse of bronze work with the chromatic richness of glass paste. This chandelier has three light arms and constitutes a very beautiful decorative piece, representative of the taste for natural forms and decorative arts of the early 20th century.
