Antique Chesterfield Canapé Carved in Walnut with Mother-of-Pearl Inlay

We offer a very rare American sofa made of hand-carved walnut with mother-of-pearl inlay and legs shaped like furry lion paws ending in brass casters. The back features a stunning marquetry of satinwood and mother-of-pearl. The sofa is in very good original condition, with a polished, waxed, and cleaned finish. The upholstery fabric is in good condition and of high quality. The dimensions are 108 cm in height, 137 cm in width, and 74 cm in depth. Seat height: 52 cm. This piece is Victorian, made in the 19th century in the United States.
