Louis-Philippe Cabriolet Armchair in Mahogany – 19th Century. Charming cabriolet armchair from the Louis-Philippe period, made of solid mahogany in the mid-19th century. This seat is distinguished by its elegant violin-shaped backrest, curved armrests, and soft lines characteristic of the Louis-Philippe style. The quality of the woodwork is particularly remarkable, with beautiful continuous curves connecting the front legs to the armrest consoles. The mahogany structure features a warm original patina with blonde and amber tones. The armchair rests on four curved legs, with the front legs fitted with period casters for easy movement. Traditional upholstery on straps and horsehair. The old covering in damask fabric with a tone-on-tone cream floral pattern is still presentable but can be replaced according to the tastes of its future owner. This model offers generous seating comfort thanks to its harmonious proportions and enveloping backrest. Condition: Good overall structural condition. The wood is healthy and stable with some signs of use consistent with its age. The fabric shows some marks of time and light wear. The underside of the seat is visible and old. Dimensions: Height: 100 cm. Width: 60 cm. Depth: 55 cm. A very elegant salon or office armchair, representative of 19th-century French bourgeois furniture.
