Antique armchair in olive green velvet and carved wood.
An antique cabriolet armchair dating probably from the late 19th or early 20th century, upholstered in olive green velvet and accented with upholstery nails. Made from carved wood with curved lines — likely beech or walnut given its warm tones — it is appealing for its enveloping backrest and comfortable armrests. Its elegant proportions will easily find a place in an eclectic living room or as additional seating in a bedroom. Condition: Structurally sound and stable furniture, although the seat is slightly sagging as mentioned. The wood shows a beautiful patina of use with some superficial micro-scratches and slight wear to the varnish on the carvings, while the velvet retains its sheen despite discreet signs of its great age (visible in the photographs). A piece full of charm and character that retains all its functionality and authenticity.
