Old Villeroy & Boch vegetable bowl "Valeria"

Covered vegetable dish in fine earthenware Villeroy & Boch Mettlach, "Valeria" model, pink, early 20th century. Stamped (green stamp) "villeroy & boch / made in germany / valeria / original mettlacher kupferdruck underglasur". Pink decoration on a creamy white background: finely detailed floral motifs (this is the magic of 'kupferdruck underglasur': decoration printed under enamel from engraved copper plates). The "Valeria" model was reissued in the 1980s in blue and red (blue stamp). This is an old pink piece (green stamp). An old knock and a hair on the edge of the lid, slight traces of use on the bottom of the container (see detail photos), otherwise in very good condition. Diam. Approximately 21 cm at the belly (17 cm at the mouth, 27 cm with the handles), height 15 cm (at the fretel), volume approximately 1.3 liters.
