Soup tureen / Vegetable dish in earthenware - Sarreguemines - 1940s/50s

Antique soup tureen / vegetable dish from Sarreguemines – “Windsor” model – French earthenware. An antique soup tureen (or vegetable dish) in white decorated earthenware, from the famous Sarreguemines pottery, “Windsor” model, dating from between 1940 and 1950. Brown floral printed decoration, elegant and timeless, typical of French productions from the mid-20th century. The soup tureen comes with its original lid and two side handles. Overall good condition for its age. Note: there is a chip on the lid (visible in the photos) and the top knob has been re-glued (holds perfectly). There are fine usage cracks, normal for antique earthenware. Ideal for: * kitchen or dining room decoration, * collection of antique earthenware, * characterful antique tableware.
