Original oil painting by Swedish artist Sam Uhrdin (1886–1964), portraying a woman named Ulla in traditional Sorunda costume from the Sörmland region. Painted with expressive realism, this work reflects Uhrdin’s deep appreciation for Swedish folk heritage and rural identity. Sam Uhrdin (1886-1964) was a Swedish painter best known for his vivid portraits and depictions of rural life in early 20th-century Sweden. Born in Leksand, Dalarna — a region rich in folk tradition — Uhrdin was deeply influenced by the local culture and people, which became central themes in his work. His works were widely exhibited in Sweden, and many are held in regional museums and private collections. He studied at the Royal Swedish Academy of Fine Arts in Stockholm.
