Designed by Ettore Sottsass in 1958 for Santambrogio & De Berti, the mirror features a rectangular reflective surface supported by a black-painted steel structure. A sequence of slender vertical elements extending beyond the mirror at the top and bottom transforms the structure into an irregular graphic composition. The model belongs to Sottsass’s exploration of mirror design in the late 1950s, also documented in Domus no. 339, February 1958, in which materials and supporting structures become integral elements of the design. The mirrored surface shows some traces of age consistent with the period of the piece. Good condition. It may show signs of age. Please pay attention to the photographs. CV126.
