Old industrial wardrobe made of painted blue iron, with a drop-down section at the top and two doors below. It comes from Central Europe and can be dated around 1950. A wire gallery runs along the top. Iron sheet wardrobes were mass-produced for factories, offices, and cabinets in Central Europe in the mid-20th century, designed to store a lot behind a narrow facade. This one, tall and narrow, combines two closures: a drop-down section that folds down to provide a work surface and two hinged doors with visible hinges. The drop-down section is held by articulated arms and reveals an upper compartment. Behind the lower doors are a shelf and four sheet metal drawers with handles. The body rests on four conical feet, and the wire gallery crowns the top. The blue paint, with a grainy finish, is generally in good condition, with small losses and signs of use spread across the facade. The result is a characterful piece of furniture, useful as a wardrobe in an office, as a sideboard in a kitchen, or as storage in an entryway. Details.
