Bottle-shaped vase, in thrown stoneware, covered with a cloudy glaze in celadon tones, deep greens punctuated by dark spots with coppery metallic reflections. The slender neck opens onto a slightly flared lip, typical of the refined organic forms of the 1960s. The whole evokes certain formal and chromatic research carried out by the French ceramists Viviane and Jean Ruelland, although the piece is not signed by them. The unglazed underside has an incised signature that is difficult to read. Technical details: • Designer: unidentified, in the style of Ruelland • Maker: unidentified workshop, probably French • Period: circa 1960-1970 • Materials: red-body stoneware • Finish: cloudy glossy glaze with copper metallic effects Dimensions: • Height: 25 cm (9.8 in) • Diameter: 8 cm (3.1 in) • Weight: 600 g Condition: Very good condition. No cracks or chips. Some original surface irregularities, linked to artisanal production. REF: NBR2000625.
