Westerwald stoneware jug — Reinhold Hanke Manufacture

Remarkable stoneware jug from Westerwald, with an intense cobalt blue base and grey relief decoration: hops leaves and cones, drinking figures, putti, and a brown grotesque mask on the neck. Twisted handle in the shape of a serpent. Tin lid of the period finely engraved with a decorative tab. Stamped base with the lantern triangle of the Reinhold Hanke factory (Höhr-Grenzhausen), mould number 687. Authentic piece from the 19th century, in very good overall condition. Height with lid: 33 cm. Condition: Very good condition.
