French Art Deco pendant lamp by Degué with a large bowl of pressed frosted glass, hung from brass rods and a brass ceiling canopy. Made in France in the 1920s–30s by the glassworks of David Guéron in Compiègne and signed 'Degué – France'. Design. The frosted glass bowl is pressed with a stylised geometric and floral Art Deco relief and finished with a scalloped rim. It hangs from three brass rods with an ornamented brass canopy. When lit, the relief pattern glows softly and gives a warm, diffused light. The brass and the canopy have a dark, old patina. Condition. Very good condition. The glass bowl is free of chips or cracks, including along the scalloped rim. The brass and the ceiling canopy have a dark, old patina with light signs of use. The wiring has not been checked by us; we advise having the lamp inspected by an electrician before use. Please see the photos for details. Dimensions: diameter 40 cm, height approx. 64 cm. In the interior. Beautiful above a dining table, in a hallway or living room, in an Art Deco, classic or eclectic interior, and as a characterful accent in a modern home.
