An early and unique set of a Finnish mid-century modern desk by Alvar Aalto with a laminated birch wood frame and two sliding drawers, featuring a beautifully patinated brown linoleum top. The matching '69' four-legged chair is upholstered with a dark grey checkered wool fabric. In good original condition and most likely produced as a special commission by Stylchair in France during the 1940s.
