Magnificent handcrafted silver-plated container, resulting from exceptional Moroccan silversmithing (Fès). An antique piece of very high manufacturing quality, made entirely by hand with period craftsmanship. Each piece is a unique work of art: the complex and detailed chiselled patterns have been entirely hand-engraved with a burin by a master craftsman (Maâlem). This level of precision and finesse is the result of careful silversmithing, which is now very rare. Characteristics: Origin: Fès, Morocco. Manufacture: Period craftsmanship, handmade. Chiselling: Hand engraving with a burin of oriental motifs (floral and scrollwork). Material: Very high-quality silver-plated metal, heavy and robust. Design: Rests on 3 worked feet, equipped with 2 chiselled handles and a lid topped with a pine cone-shaped handle. Hallmarks: Clear stamp under the base ("SILVER-PLATED", "FES", "TRADEMARK", "REAL" and inscription in Arabic). Uses: Ideal as a traditional sugar bowl for tea, sweet jar, jewellery box, or exceptional decorative object. Sizes and Prices per unit: Large model: Height 23 cm|Diameter 20.5 cm — 40 €.
