Hand-carved commode from 1685 with sideboards and side cupboards.

We are delighted to offer this chest of drawers dated around 1685, from the period of James II, finely hand-carved with a sideboard and side cupboards. This very functional piece of furniture can be used as a chest of drawers in a bedroom, a cupboard for dishes and cutlery in a dining room, or a console in an entrance hall. The entire piece is carved from top to bottom in very old wood with a beautiful patina. The upper right panel is carved and dated 1685. The item has been deeply cleaned, waxed, and hand-polished. Some signs of wear, losses, and a missing drawer handle are present, reflecting its age of about 350 years. Dimensions taken at the widest point: height 98 cm, width 150 cm, depth 57.5 cm.
